Privacy Policy

In short. LiftLogGrow holds what coaches and athletes put into it so they can work together, including health and fitness information and photos. An athlete's information is seen by their coach and their coach's team, and by nobody else using the service. We don't sell anyone's information, we don't show ads, and we don't follow you around the web. We do count which screens of the app get opened, without recording what is on them, so we know what to improve. A few companies help us run the service and are listed below.
1. Who we are
LiftLogGrow is operated by Siddiqui Ventures LLC, 7465 Greenway Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32244, United States. For anything about your information, email coach@liftloggrow.com.
2. Who decides what
Two kinds of people use LiftLogGrow, and it matters which you are.
- Athletes. Your coach invited you and decides what you are asked for and why. For your information, your coach is in charge and we hold it on their behalf so the service can work. Your coach's own agreement with you, which you accept when you first sign in, says how they use it. Questions about your information usually go to your coach first; you can also write to us.
- Coaches. For your own account information, we are in charge of it and this policy is our promise to you.
3. What we hold
| What | Examples |
|---|---|
| Account details | Name, nickname, email address, password (stored only in a scrambled form we can't read). If you sign in with Google, the name and email address Google gives us. |
| Check-ins | Body weight, water, sleep, steps, training done, how training felt, cardio, blood pressure, digestion, off-plan meals, your own notes, and answers to any questions your coach has added. |
| Photos and videos | Progress photos and clips of lifts that an athlete chooses to send. Location data is removed from photos before they leave the phone. |
| Recorded feedback | A recording a coach makes in reply to a check-in: their screen, their face and their voice, or their voice alone. A screen recording contains whatever the coach had on screen, which is usually that athlete's own check-in. |
| Measurements and intake answers | Body measurements, and the answers to a coach's starting questionnaire. |
| Plans and training logs | Meal and workout plans a coach writes, supplements, goals, and the workouts an athlete logs. |
| Messages and feedback | What coaches and athletes write to each other in the app. |
| Agreements | Which version of a coach's agreement an athlete accepted and when; when a coach accepted our terms; the payment terms an athlete agreed to. |
| Payments | Whether someone pays, how much, the state of their subscription, and the identifiers Stripe gives us for it. Card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store them. |
| How the app is used | When you last opened the app, your time zone (so reminders arrive in the morning where you are), your unit and email preferences, a record of notification emails sent to you, and, for coaches, a count and cost of AI drafts. Also which screens of the app you open and when, kept against your account's ID number and whether you are a coach or an athlete, not your name or email address, and never anything you typed, logged or uploaded. |
| Sign-up protection | When someone asks for a coach account we record the email address and internet address used, to stop the form being abused. |
The app also keeps a copy of recent information on your own device, so it opens and works without a connection. That copy stays on the device; signing out or clearing the app's data removes it.
We don't use advertising trackers, we don't record your screen or what you click, and we don't buy information about you from anyone.
4. What we use it for
- To run the service: showing an athlete's information to their coach, and a coach's plans and replies to their athletes.
- To take payments, through Stripe.
- To send emails the service needs: invitations, password resets, and, unless you turn them off in your settings, a note that you have a new message, a check-in reminder, or a check-in to review. These emails deliberately leave out what was written or logged.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems, and enforce a plan's limits.
- To see which parts of the app get used and which don't, so we know what to improve.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We don't use what you put into the service to advertise to you, and we don't use it to train AI models.
5. Who can see an athlete's information
- Their coach. If the coach has a team, the coaches the practice has allowed to work with that athlete can see it too.
- Not other athletes, and not other coaches.
- Drafts stay private. A daily check-in is visible to the coach once the athlete sends it, and progress photos once they are sent in a check-in.
- Recorded feedback is for the athlete it was made for. Only they, and the coaches who work with them, can play it.
- Us, only when needed. Running the service means a small number of people at LiftLogGrow can technically reach stored information. We look at it only to fix a problem, respond to a request from the person it belongs to, or meet a legal duty.
6. Companies that help us run the service
These providers process information for us, under their own security and privacy commitments, and only to do the job described.
| Provider | What it does | What it handles |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, file storage and sign-in | Everything stored in the service |
| Netlify | Delivers the app to your browser | The ordinary technical details of a web request |
| Stripe | Payments. Coaches other than the platform's owner are paid through their own Stripe account | Name, email, card and payment details |
| Resend | Sends email | Email address, first name, and the text of the email |
| Anthropic | Writes a first draft of a coach's feedback, only when the coach asks for one | That athlete's first name or nickname, the check-ins and workouts being reviewed, their goals, and the coach's recent feedback to them. Not photos or videos |
| PostHog | Counts which screens of the app are opened | Your account's ID number, whether you are a coach or an athlete, which screens you open and when, and the ordinary technical details of a web request. Not your name or email address, and nothing you typed, logged or uploaded |
| Sign in with Google, for those who choose it | The sign-in itself |
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
7. Health information
Much of what athletes log is about their body and health. We treat it as sensitive: it is visible only to the people described above, files are kept in private storage, and links to photos and videos expire. LiftLogGrow is not a healthcare provider and the service is not designed for medical records. It is not covered by HIPAA, and coaches should not use it to store information that is.
8. How long we keep it
- For as long as the account it belongs to is open.
- Clips of lifts, and a coach's recorded feedback, are deleted automatically after 60 days.
- When a coach removes an athlete, that athlete's information, photos and videos are deleted and any subscription they were paying is cancelled.
- When an account is closed at its owner's request, we delete its information within 30 days.
- We keep what we are required to for tax, accounting and legal reasons, such as records of payments, and Stripe keeps its own records of them.
9. Keeping it safe
Access rules are enforced in the database itself, not only in the app, so one person's account cannot read another's information. Connections are encrypted. Photos and videos are in private storage and are opened through links that expire. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you and, for athletes, your coach, as the law requires.
10. Your choices and rights
- See or correct it. Most of what we hold about you is visible to you in the app, and you can change your name, nickname and preferences in your account settings.
- Emails. Turn notification emails off in your settings. Invitations and password resets are sent only when someone asks for them.
- A copy, or deletion. Athletes: ask your coach, who can remove your account and everything in it, or write to us. Coaches: write to us. We will answer within 30 days.
- Payments. Athletes can update their card or, once any minimum term is over, cancel from their account settings.
Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights over your information, such as to object to a use of it or to complain to a regulator. We will honour the rights that apply to you; write to us to use them.
11. Age
The service is for adults. You must be at least 18 to use it, and coaches must not invite anyone younger. If you believe someone under 18 is using the service, tell us and we will remove the account.
12. Where information is kept
We are based in the United States and the service is run from there, using the providers above. If you use the service from another country, your information will be processed in the United States and possibly other countries where those providers operate, whose privacy laws may differ from yours.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If a change is significant we will tell coaches by email or in the app before it takes effect, and the date at the top will change.
